General George Patton is one of my personal heroes. I was stationed at Fort Knox, Kentucky, the home of the U.S. Army Armor School where General Patton was based. I enjoy reading about him and his war strategies. I was especially intrigued with his faithful and loyal companion, "Willie", his little woofer. "That's no woofin". |
Cousin Mark Would you believe, I was only 15 when I started my broadcasting career in 1967? At that time, WYXI was a daytime only station. As soon as the sun set over the horizon, the station signed off for the day, so I became known as "Mark with the Bark til Dark". I worked in radio until I graduated from college in 1974, In April of 1974 I married Mary Johnson from Niota. We have one daughter, Natalie, who is married and has two children. In 1986 my wife and I along with Bob and Judi Ketchersid purchased WYXI. Click HERE to read about how we met. |
Cousin Mark In June, 2008
Bob Ketchersid, my partner, and I moved our
WYXI studios to 104 Cherry
Street next to the tower and transmitter.
